What to wear for Training Sessions
When you first turn up for Training, you are unlikely to have proper bowling shoes.  All we ask is that comfortable shoes are brought with no heal - please bring them and not wear them to the Club.  You can wear any clothing you like - you will never be turned away for wearing incorrect clothing during your initial period of training.  You may like the bring clothes with you, and use our changing rooms.
For additional guidance, wear a white or light-coloured top, polo-styled shirts are ideal.  An appropriate shoe would be flat soled, with minimum tread. Later on, you may consider purchasing proper bowling shoes, which are flat-soled with no tread, ideally coloured white, but grey, or brown colours are equally acceptable.  For ‘roll-ups’ Club Members currently wear white above the waist, ideally a plain white polo shirt for men, and white blouse for ladies. Below the waist  are worn grey trousers, or ladies may opt to wear a grey skirt.
Remember - please bring your shoes to Training sessions, don’t wear them to the Club, and wear  comfortable.clothing.  You will be assured of a warm welcome at our friendly Club.
We have two full-size outside greens, in a lovely parkland setting.  The Club has a welcoming Clubhouse, recently refurbished, with a well-stocked licensed bar.

WHEN YOU JOIN A BOWLS CLUB
When you join a Bowls Club
It’s hard, if you’re new
There’s so much to remember,
So much for you to do.

First, the clothes, Whites or Grey?
Then, is it Home or Away?
Singles, Pairs, Triples, Fours?
Don’t forget the card for scores.

Upstairs, Downstairs?
Number rink?
“Who’s my Skip?”,
I cannot think!

Then I need to check my stuff
Well, by now, I’ve had enough!
Begin to wonder why I came!
But then we have a SUPER game!
