At the New Ocean Hotel, all rooms have been refurbished to a high standard, offering full en-suite facilities, direct-dial telephone, television, hair-dryer, and tea/coffee-making facilities. There are two passenger lifts. The Ocean restaurant prides itself on the use of fresh, often locally grown produce. An extensive menu combines the best of both traditional and modern cooking. Nightly entertainment is provided; there is a large dance floor, a comfortable bar/lounge area, and a sun terrace with views across the bay. The Knightstone restaurant prides itself on serving superb meals, prepared to order, using fresh, often locally grown produce. Touring Bowing Clubs, and other bowlers, may wish to take advantage of the two hotels which sponsor our Bowling Club. Both hotels are superbly situated on the sea-front promenade, overlooking Weston’s popular Marine Lake, and offer panoramic views over Weston Bay and beyond. The Town Centre is only a short walk away, as is Grove Park, where Jill Dando’s garden is situated. Staying in Weston whilst on tour is an ideal location, since there are many other Bowling Clubs in the area; playing at Ashcombe Park and, selecting other local Clubs, would be an ideal way to saver the varied countryside of Somerset.
