Alan Yates’ rink was tied on the 16th, but ran in scoring 7 without reply. Roy Simmons’ rink, likewise, was tied at the 17th, but finished scoring 7 shots to 1.

Ashcombe Presidents' Day Mixed (16 September)
In a special Club event, mixed teams represented the Ladies' President, Norma Counsell, and the Men's President Roy Powell. The result was a resounding win for Norma by 216 shots to 125, or 9 rinks to 1. It was an enjoyable day for all, with thanks to the Presidents' for providing a buffet lunch after the game.
