Alan Yates pair stormed to a finish, winning 14 shots without reply over the last seven ends, but it was not enough to win this encounter, only to provide some respectability to the score

Winning three rinks from five, the Legion had a comfortable win. However it is worth noting that John Whitlow’s rink were 11 down and brought their score back to within 4 shots.
