This annual event, with the Men (Men’s Captain) challenging the Ladies (Ladies’ Captain), was given a special twist this year, when players were given the option to wear a coloured wig! Here is a reminder of the day (photos compiled by Angela O’Donoghue) ...
We all had a great time, and over 60 members turned up. Over £100 was raised for the Captain’s charity (Abbeyfield Society) with a raffle and fines! Patsie was given the job of making a list of all the things members did wrong so that they would have to pay a fine - which went into the charity box. There was quite a long list by the end of the day, including fines for people not wearing wigs, people who took their wigs off half way into the game, wrong bias's, for bowling woods into the ditch, and other misdemeanours.
All in all it was a great success and fun was had by all.
