CLUB and COUNTY COMPETITIONS

Club Competitions FINALS DAY was held on Saturday 30th August. All details are provided on linked pages.
Singles. First to 21 shots WINS
A Handicapped Singles Competition, open to all members who have never won a singles competition at any Club.
The player with the lower handicap must score 21 shots to win.
Singles. First to 21 shots WINS
21 Ends. (NOT open to first-year novices)
Four -woods. 21 Ends. (NOT open to first-year novices)
A fixed jack, full team competition, played on a fixed date. (Wednesday 30th July).
A fixed date, Singles, Two-Wood Competition.
Final rounds were played on Saturday 19th July.
Informal, mainly on Monday afternoons at 2pm. 6 rinks.
Separate competition each day.

Open to Members who have a handicap of 2 or less. First to 21 shots WINS.

18 Ends. Note: can be played on “Umbrella” evenings.
Singles, Pairs(E-H), Triples, Fours, “Champion-of-Champions”, Two-Woods,
Informal, on Monday evenings at 6.15. Teams drawn at random. Winning Team has highest shot victory. Individual scores recorded.
Three-Wood Handicaps: (see note opposite).
4 Wood Singles (open to all Club Members)
Proposal for a mixed “umbrella” on Friday evenings in September.
NOTES
1. In Matches which have a fixed number of Ends, the leader after these Ends have been played WINS.
An extra end is played if shots are equal.
2. In ‘Handicap’ Matches, The player/team with the higher handicap must reach 21 shots, plus the difference between the two handicaps.
NOTE (Reference “Rules for Club Competitions”): Name(s) given above (first named person, or nominated team member) should arrange match. This will include booking a rink, and providing score cards and score boards. For Singles he should also arrange for Marker. Normally, opponents (first-named or ‘skip’ in team) will make informal contact soon after the match is fixed.
Failure to arrange the match will result in name(s) below (second named person or team) winning the match by default. However, this does not apply if several dates have been given, and all have been declined (officially, two reasonable dates should be given - Sundays by mutual agreement only). Usually, dates will be agreed, but in any dispute, the Competition sub-committee ruling will be final.

WEB-SITE CHANGES
This Section will close after the current season ends. It will be replaced with a “Results” Section, providing all results down to Quarter-Finals, together with all the Results of Club matches, currently provided in the “Fixtures” Section.
