NOTES
1. In Matches which have a fixed number of Ends, the leader after these Ends have been played WINS.
An extra end is played if shots are equal.
2. In ‘Handicap’ Matches, The player/team with the higher handicap must reach 21 shots, plus the difference between the two handicaps.
NOTE (Reference “Rules for Club Competitions”): When competitors’ Name(s) are advised by the Selection committee, they are written of the competition form, one name(s) above the other. The Name(s) given first/above (first named person, or nominated team member) should arrange match. This will include booking a rink, and providing score cards and score boards. For Singles he/she should also arrange for Marker.
The challenger (first-named person or ‘skip’ in team) is responsible for arranging the game, and should make informal contact soon after the match is fixed. Please do not leave arranging your game until the ‘last minute’. Arrange your games as early as you can! Then, if anything prevents play, there will be time to re-arrange your game within the set dates.. Failure to arrange the match will result in the second named person/team winning the match by default. However, this does not apply if several dates have been given by the challenger,, and all have been declined (officially, two reasonable dates should be given - Sundays by mutual agreement only). Usually, dates will be agreed, but in any dispute, the Competition sub-committee ruling will be final.
