Ashcombe Park Bowling Club is situated inside Weston-super-Mare’s most beautiful park, and is surrounded by trees, making this a lovely situation in which to play the game of bowls. We invariably have a full and varied fixture list, with league teams, cup competitions, plus many ‘friendlies’ against local clubs in Weston-super-Mare, and Somerset. Touring clubs are always made very welcome; every year, clubs from various parts of the UK, choose to visit us to play a cordial and friendly match.
Ashcombe Park Bowling Club is affiliated to Bowls England, and to the Somerset Bowls Association. The men play in the Somerset County, and the Weston and district Over-60’s triples leagues. Ladies play in the North Somerset Triples, and Wessex leagues.

BRIAN CULLEN
We say a sad farewell to Brian, who recently passed away after a lengthy period of illness. Brian was a long-standing Club Member, being our singles champion in 2002. God-bless and thank you.

The Men’s President Opening day was on Saturday April 14th, with the Ladies’ President Opening day on the following Thursday.
Both days started with a some rain, but were enjoyable occasions, with the promise of sunnier times ahead.
After the matches there was a tea, followed by the welcoming address from their respective President.
